About My Work Natalie Novak Remplakowski is a Polish-Canadian filmmaker based between Toronto and NYC with over a decade of broad experience in both scripted and creative nonfiction work for all platforms. Natalie is a current candidate of New York University’s TISCH Graduate Film Program, awarded the Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship and the WTC Johnson Scholarship to attend. Natalie has been a producer on award-winning films and series that have been recognized by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and festivals worldwide including Venice, TIFF, Sundance, Cannes, San Sebastian, New York Film Festival, SXSW, among others. Recent credits include the short films Freak by Claire Barnett which received a ‘Special Mention’ at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Three Keenings by Oliver McGoldrick which premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti Short Film International Competition and Nola (co-directed by Aisha and Natalie) which premiered at Aspen Shortsfest in 2024 and serves as the precursor to the feature Seahorse (2025). Prior to NYU, Natalie worked as an associate producer for Scythia Films based in Toronto for principal Daniel Bekerman (The Apprentice, The Witch). There, she worked on films such as Viggo Mortensen’s directorial debut, Falling (Sundance, Cannes, TIFF 2020), Percy Vs Goliath starring Christopher Walken, Christina Ricci and Zach Braff, and Slash/Back (SXSW 2022), an Arctic set sci-fi about a group of teen Inuit girls that fight off an alien invasion. Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario to Polish immigrants, Natalie grew up immersed in the Polish community’s performing arts. She holds both Canadian and EU passports.
